Payment
Lily Bling offers two payment options, unless stated otherwise - a flat rate payment and an hourly rate payment.
1. Flat rate
For flat rate bookings Lily Bling reserves the right to require a 50% upfront payment, unless stated otherwise. All upfront payments are non-refundable. The remaining 50% will be invoiced once the job has been completed.
2. Hourly rate
If required, the number of hours can be estimated prior to confirmation of booking, unless stated otherwise. Please note that these estimates may change once a job has commenced, for various reasons. If at any point the original estimate changes, Lily Bling will notify the client. Hours are logged and invoiced to the client at the end of each week, unless stated otherwise.
For bookings that require budget for wardrobe and assistants, this will be discussed with the client on a job by job basis.
Unless stated otherwise, all travel expenses must be paid for by the client.
Please note that for international bookings, all fees will be confirmed in GBP.
Invoices
All invoices sent by Lily Bling will include a due date.
For a flat rate booking, the due date for the 50% deposit is 7 days upon receiving the invoice, unless stated otherwise. The due date for the remaining 50% is 30 days upon receiving the invoice, unless stated otherwise.
For hourly rate bookings, the due date is 7 days upon receiving the invoice.
If no terms are set, Lily Bling reserves the right to default terms to 30 days. As part of the Late Payment of Commercial Debt (Interest) Act (1998), Lily Bling reserves the right to charge additional fees for payments that aren’t cleared by the due date stated on the invoice. This includes a statuary interest rate of 8% over the Bank of England base rate plus 1.5% monthly interest. The 1.5% interest will commence on the first day after the due date and continue on the same day each month until the payment has cleared.
As rates are confirmed in GBP, for international bookings whereby invoices are required in the currency of the client's territory, the invoice will be sent in said currency with the current exchange rate to GBP according to Google Finance on the day the invoice is submitted. For payments, the amount due in the client's currency needs to be recalculated to equal the pre-confirmed rate in GBP, according to the exchange rate taken from Google Finance on the day of payment. If you have any questions, please ensure you discuss these with Lily prior to proceeding with the booking.
Cancellations
Flat rate
If a booking is cancelled or postponed, the 50% deposit remains non-refundable. For cancellations, in lieu of the remaining 50% fee to be paid upon completion of a job, Lily Bling reserves the right to charge the client a cancellation fee. For postponements, as well as the remaining 50% fee to be paid upon completion of a job, Lily Bling reserves the right to charge the client a postponement fee. The fee will be charged at the following rate:
If a client cancels within 30 working days of a confirmed date, a fee of 20% of the remaining 50% will be charged.
If a client cancels within 5 working days of a confirmed date, a fee of 50% of the remaining 50% will be charged.
If a client cancels within 48 hours of a confirmed date, a fee of 100% of the remaining 50% will be charged.
If a client postpones within 5 working days of a confirmed date, an additional fee of up to 20% of the remaining 50% fee will be charged, fees to be determined on a case by case basis for postponements.
If a client postpones within 48 hours of a confirmed date, an additional fee of up to 50% of the remaining 50% fee will be charged, fees to be determined on a case by case basis for postponements.
If the upfront deposit and remaining fee is not divided into equal 50/50 payments, the deposit still remains non-refundable and same cancellation fee rates apply to the alternative remaining percentage pre-confirmed with the client.
Hourly rate
If a booking is cancelled or postponed, all remaining unpaid hours will be invoiced and must be paid. In the case of a job being postponed, the same hourly rate terms will be applied upon recommencement of the job, unless stated otherwise.
In the event of a job cancellation, all artistic property including but not limited to concepts, mood boards, and research created by Lily Bling are not to be used and/or replicated by other artists.
Please note any cancellation fee payable may include additional cancellation charges incurred such as clothing/prop sourcing and art direction.
